Dear visitor,
Those of you that have visited the Auxiliary Gift Shop in the main lobby of BC Women’s will know what a special place it is. The shop is like a beehive and I am constantly amazed at the collective energy of the volunteers whose enthusiasm and hard work makes the shop a crucial fundraising venture for the hospital As well as searching tirelessly to source the best products for mothers and their babies, many of our members dedicate their spare time to making gifts ranging from sweaters and blankets to nursing aprons and footstools. This mix of original treasures and essential basics has made the shop a choice destination for both hospital and online visitors. I hope you enjoy browsing our online catalogue to find that perfect gift that will bring joy and satisfaction to your loved ones at the hospital. I would also like to thank you for supporting our efforts to raise the funds that will ensure that all the newborns, women and families under the care of BC Women’s receive the best care possible. Through our Gift Shop, which is run 100% by volunteers, we have raised over $1.8 million to purchase much-needed equipment and supplies for BC Women’s Hospital. In addition to being the hospitals largest donor we have contributed thousands of volunteer hours and we’re making a difference in the lives of the women and babies who rely on BC Women’s!
